East Shore Mountain Biking // Day 1 / by Hazen Woolson

For years now good friend Anthony Santos and I have talked about making a Tahoe mountain bike edit worthy of sharing - one that showcases the incredible riding that we have here in our ‘backyard.’ Last week we finally got started on it, committing a full day to logging shots.

We started out the day pushing/riding our bikes and gear to the top of the Chimney Beach Downhill on Lake Tahoe’s east shore, just south of Incline Village Nevada. Bright sunshine and light winds made for a beautiful fall October day, and recent rains had left the trail in perfect condition. We quickly set about slowly riding and filming spots that jumped out at us.

Only halfway done, we finished up for the day around sunset with a promise to return the following week to continue filming. I packed up my gear and rode the lower half of the trail to end the day with a T’s Rotisserie burrito and beer in Incline.
