Blank Collective Films takes home ‘Best Powder Segment’ at Powder Magazine’s Powder Awards! I am incredibly excited and humbled to have been part of such an incredible team, and to have been in the right place at the right time - Tahoe experienced some of the best winter conditions I’ve ever seen in my 8+ years of living here.
The team included Josh Daiek, Alexi Godbout, Stan Rey, Wilbur Drake, Ming Poon, and Jeff Thomas. The segment is a compilation of storm skiing footage that I filmed in South Lake Tahoe and footage from Mount Baker Ski Area in Washington. We worked tirelessly for 3 weeks during some of the biggest storms in February, led by Josh each day who had detailed knowledge of different zones and always seemed to know where the snow would be best.
